We’re proud to offer a range of flexible and immediate short-term respite. We understand that someone’s need for short-term care can vary from a sudden occurrence to requiring a personal support person. In order to meet the needs of an emergency, we provide immediate short-term accommodation.

Flexibility in Respite Care
Our services are flexible, as we prioritize meeting both your needs and those of your family or caregivers. So we do not have a minimum duration for our short-term respite care – you can stay for as little as a few hours or for as long as a couple of weeks. Whether you opt to stay in your home, in our housing, you will still have access to our experienced team of support workers. They can assist with your daily needs during this time, including personal care, meals, transport, therapy, and community participation. Our support can be provided 24 hours a day, or on a drop-in basis – whatever you require.
AACA recognizes the contribution and needs of the families, friends, and carers who regularly support individuals with disabilities. Our short-term offerings are designed to provide primary caregivers with any assistance that they require, to make things easier and more convenient.
When You May Need Short Term Respite
This may include support following a hospital stay, when a primary carer is unavailable, or when participants and families need time to rest and recharge.
Our experienced support workers can assist with personal care, daily routines, meals, transport and community participation, ensuring continuity of care at all times.
Supports can be provided on a 24/7 basis or as required, depending on individual needs.
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)
We provide safe and comfortable medium-term accommodation for participants who require support for a longer period.
This may be needed following a hospital stay, during recovery, or while waiting for long-term housing arrangements.
Our supports are flexible and tailored to individual needs, ensuring continuity of care and a smooth transition to more permanent living arrangements.
